Don't know if you've resolved this issue, but I believe I've seen users experience this issue when they are using Java (Sun) in IE. In IE--Tools/Internet Options/Advanced -- scroll through the list -- if you see Sun Java, uncheck it, restart the browser and see if the error goes away.
