Igor, Not sure this email went to the list but I'll reply back through the list.
We're very similar. We have 123 floating and 63 fixed licenses. Between 9 and 11 we will peak at between 180 and 200 concurrent users. These users are anywhere from the Czech Republic to Mexico and California with the majority on the East Coast of the US. Our users in Asia Pacific get a free ride as there are always floating licenses available to them. We have over 1200 records in the User form. Of these I say that about 500 are active users. 400 are occasional. The rest have never logged in. There are weeks where our floating license count doesn't go above 120. It seems that the beginning of the month counts are higher because of generation of quality reports. Not sure what's up this week as we peaked with all our 123 floating licenses in use for about 5 minutes. We did not get anyone denied when they performed an update though. It's time for me to adjust licenses again. One thing I found a long time ago was turn off the auto refresh on all forms and the majority of the views on those forms. Folks will turn on auto refresh and lock a license to them for hours. They'll be off in a meeting or even at home and the client will continue to execute the query and keep the license tied up. When I first started 10 years ago, the system use was basically limited to the East Coast and we were constantly needing to purchase additional licenses. After we turned off the Auto Refresh and removed it from macros, we didn't have to purchase another license for over 3 years. We have maximum 70 users a day waiting for the available Floating License. It is maximum 220 Users a day. We have 110 Floating. 68 Fixed used maximum by 40 Users. They are from different Regions. It is nightmare... I'm using Cumulative Server Statistics every 6 min for Crystal Report Graph and modified driver program (log, init, glu commands) to collect into csv file our logged users every 5 min. Import it into the AR form and show the table on the console, where i can see not only the individually acquired licenses but the Support Groups. Search by License Type (Fixed, Floating, Write) Name or the Support Group. Table helps to sort by Date and Time fields. Hi, Misi Having all this, can i use "New FREE License Allocation Calculator" on your website? It is read only.
