I'm wondering if anyone has noticed that searching for CI's to relate is more user friendly under the 7.x Incident, Change, and Problem modules than it is under the Asset module itself. From the Relationship tab of an incident, problem, or change, one need only select Request Type = Configuration Item in order to search across ALL CI Types by CI ID, CI Name, Tag Number, etc... using the "CI Relationships Search" form without ever specifying the CI Type. Conversely, you MUST specify a CI Type when searching from within the Asset module using the "CI Search". Does anyone know of a technical reason why "CI Relationships Search" is not available from within Asset?
