What we do is to have a script to set up the environment before each
instance.  This also makes updating the arsystem script easier.

i.e.   setup_env_dev.sh, setup_env_test.sh, setup_env_training.sh

In the arsystem we simply add:   
   . ./setup_env_dev.sh

Unfortunately, we have multiple arservers that run with the same unix
account.  For this reason, the oracle env vars are not set in the
profile.  I typically update the arsystem script after the install
finishes to get things pointed to the right place.
