In this release, the existing C plug-ins will be delivered as were before. Remember we do still deliver native C based Plug-in server & also note that the new Java based plug-in server supports running C plug-ins too.
There is a newly implemented web service plug-in built in Java as well. Yes, it will be part of the 7.1 deliverables. Hopefully you'll find this plug-in more usable than the previous version offering. Another side note though, we did not (get a chance to) implement all of our previously delivered C plug-ins (like server admin console's backing plug-in for example) as Java plug-ins. As Java based plug-in server is able to host even the existing or newly developed C plug-ins, we believe this is not a big problem.
