Ok, I think I understand the reluctance, yes, you see the tables and their cryptic names. The key is to ignore the tables and report of the views, which off of my oracle ODBC driver, I'm able to do just fine. Perhaps the solution for you is to create a simple report with the Oracle driver and show them and see how they respond.

Unfortunately, our Remedy Support Team doesn't agree and we're limited to using the Remedy ODBC driver. One question: If you use an Oracle ODBC driver, do you see the table names and field names, or are you looking at table numbers and field numbers? - Terry Sr. Business Systems Analyst Corporate Information Technology ITCS Reporting Services Abbott 200 Abbott Park Road Dept: GA67, Bldg: NWJ46 Abbott Park, IL 60064-6370 Phone (847)937-1889 [EMAIL PROTECTED] This communication may contain information that is proprietary, confidential, or exempt from disclosure. We have some people here trying to do the same thing using Cognos 8.2. They attempted to connect via the Remedy ODBC but were not successful. Cognos 8.2 requires ODBC drivers to be compliant with ODBC spec 3.5 or higher. The Remedy-supplied ODBC drivers from AR 6.0 and 6.3 are written to an ODBC spec lower than 3.5. According to Remedy AR 7.0 release notes, the ODBC driver is enhanced and has ODBC spec 3.5 compatibility. I hope this helps. - Terry Let's see...
