Hi Lisa,

Have you tried manually deleting the tomcat cache? Move or delete the
Catalina dir (fine it in \Tomcat 5.5\work\ dir). It will rebuild after
restarting the tomcat service.

Also watch the cpu usage after stopping the tomcat service. Wait till it
drops before manually restarting the service.

I tried to find this .dll and did not find it. So I'm thinking that
this may not be the problem.

Thanks!

Lisa -

Are you using the tcnative.dll? It would be in Tomcat\bin --
tcnative-1.dll or tcnative.dll

I found that deleting/renaming the file fixed my 100% cpu issues. I
also use mod_jk which I think plays into the problem.

If that's not the issue maybe someone else can give you further
insight...

Tomcat Using Full CPU on Win2003

We have production ARS 7.0.1 Mid-Tier Server down due to the tomcat
process taking a full CPU (spinning). Stopped/restarted the service and
can get in ...

Mid Tier Logs:
Sep 25, 2007 10:34:25 AM - WARNING (com.remedy.log.INTERNAL) : (Thread
12) The JSWRiter parameter is not set to mutiline mode. Performance
might get affected due to this.

Not sure how to avoid this in the future?
