Susan,

If I understood you right, you need to pick an email address from a single
record, or n number of email addresses from n records that match a
company???

If that is the case, have you tried running an AL guide to loop through your
contact form to find all records that match the company and set the email
addresses accordingly? That should be doable..

You can loop either by creating a hidden table field to match your criteria
to pull out those records, or build your own loop that will perform n
searches for n records that meet the criteria.

Hope this helps..

Subject: Active Link Set Fields - need multiples to append

  **
  Hi Everyone,

Sometimes I get all caught up in 'the Remedy can do anything' scenario and
agree to do things that may have limitations. This one seemed harmless, but
alas I've been caught in the typical 'sales' syndrome.

I need to populate email addresses that are of a certain type (Install
Contact) into a field on the Task form (finding them is no problem).
Created a field on the form with plenty of space since there could be 2-3
email addresses to set in that field. Went to create the Active Link on
Display to set the email addresses on the Task when it is opened so that the
automated email that may be initiated if certain criteria is met will use
those email addresses.

The issue I am having is setting more than one email address to that
field. The criteria for finding the email addresses is that all these
people are related to one company (specified on the Task via field
contents). The A/L really wants me to choose one or none or give an error
message. I need it to take however many are found and put a comma between
them and put them all in the field. I thought I'd be able to append or
something like that.

I suspect I may be able to do this via sql but I'm not sure what the
statement would be. But all suggestions are welcome !

Thanks for your help in advance,
  Susan
