I see that I misunderstood the original post.  What is the source of
the vendor form?  LDAP?  You could write another ardbc plugin.
Alternatively, you could write an api that uses the
ARGetEntryStatistics call to return a result set that uses a grouping.
 The results of this operation could be written to the db or a single
field, depending on what you are planning to do with it.
