I would like to know if there is a way to pass parameters (for example
the parameters the user selected on a dialog window) to a Crystal Report
and have them displayed on the Crystal Report called from Remedy.

Having fought the gritty never-ending battle to produce Crystal Reports
that don't fail when called from Remedy or after migration require
massaging, I am starting to wonder if I would be better off using SQL
Server Reporting Services as a replacement for Crystal Reports
technology.

Too long I find myself hanging on to what seems to be counter-productive
"rapid application development" tools.

Realizing I can't [currently] just pass parameters to a Crystal Report
and have them displayed really paints a good picture for me of how
inadequate it is.

Does anyone have any success stories they'd like to share using
Reporting Services and how difficult to transition to the technology?

I am using SQL Server 2005.

Thank you,
