The calculation is not necessarily the issue, either for a display only
field, or an escalation to process.

I am curious as to the requirement you are attempting to accomplish with
this? Having a "real field" would require an escalation (or process) to set
it which would result in every ticket getting updated... A display only
field could alert the user to the age, but is not able to be queried or
reported upon.
