** If your using IIS, make sure the Anonymous username and password in
IIS match up with the username and password in the mid-tier config tool.

Subject: ARERR [9130] An exception occurred from the WebService class :
(401)Unauthorized
** Hi again,
Following on my previous post on ARERR [9130] (401)Unauthorized"
The AdvancedGuide-630 Page-433 states that
==========================================================================
If the authentication header is not specified, the user name is picked up from
the Remedy Configuration Tool.
==========================================================================
I can't see in the WDSL file I was given that there is a header where to
include the user/password so I am assuming the ARS system will use the account
I added in the Mid-Tier config tool.
In the ConfigGuide-630 Page-217, it states that
==========================================================================
This window (Wbservice user/password fields) provides a text fields in which to
enter a user name and password
for authentication when accessing web services.
For published web services used by AR System, user information such as user
name, password, and domain name are passed to the service through Simple
Object Access Protocol (SOAP) headers. If a user name and password cannot be
found in the SOAP headers, the name and password specified in these
fields are used to connect to the server where the needed web service resides.
There is no default value for these fields.
==========================================================================
Further on it says:
==========================================================================
Anonymous User: Enter a user name to use with web services. The user can be
either a registered or a guest user (if guest users are allowed in your AR
System environment).
Anonymous Password: Enter a password to use with web services. This field must
be left blank if the user is a registered user.
==========================================================================
So, In addition to adding the user to the configuration tool, I created the
same user in the user form and tested twice:
1. Removing the password from the config tool
2. Keeping the password in the config tool and removing the user from the
user form.
None of this worked!! :)
Any thoughts chaps,
Many thanks in advance
frex
