Did something similar in the past but can't recall exactly the steps.
  I think you have to create a field with an ID 1005 which represents the 
advanced search bar (double check the developer's basic guide), the field will 
automatically be hidden... so all you do is create your button and set some 
hard coded search strings into it..when you populate the field and want to view 
the content, just hit the advanced search button.
