Hi group, I am about to install approval server patch 6 for v 7.0.01. We are a windows shop, Windows Server 2003, MS SQL 2000.
I got a bit confused reading through the "Required post-installation steps for patch 006". It talks about opening a two way join form that was created when first installing the Approval server. It references reviewing "Connecting an application to the Approval Server" section of the User and Admin guide. Needless to say I was not here when they first installed Approval server and of course I can't get my hands on any documentation regarding the installation/configuration. Plus I believe my company may have already installed patch 5 and may have missed this step. Anyway my question is, is this step needed if the only application that is utilizing the Approval Server is Remedy Change Management? I would have assumed that since they are both BMC/Remedy application it would create the join automatically. Am I assuming too much? Has anyone installed this patch yet? Any help would be great.
