Hi,
I have just done this for our Development Server running ARS V6.on
Solaris 9 with Oracle 9.2. This has been successfully upgraded to ARS
V7.1 on Solaris 10 with Oracle 10g. We have a mixture of custom apps and
ITSM V5.6.
So far only one 'gotcha' which was with the command line executable
arimportcmd. If you use the -x option on the command line then there is
a problem with importing accented characters. Removing this option and
ensuring that the server is specified in the arm file.
Thanks.

Hi All,
Few weeks back there was a discussion of issues with migrating
customized ARS 6.3 solution to ARS 7.1. At that time some one
(probably Axton) suggested upgrading remedy to ARS 7.1 but not upgrade
ITSM (or whatever they call it now).
Question: Has anybody tried the above mentioned approach - upgrade ARS
but leave all the apps as is? I was looking into this option and
wanted to know if there were any gotchas.
Platform: Solaris, Oracle 10g, ARS6.3 -> ARS 7.1
Regards
Atul
