Hi, I have a free command line tool called RRR|LoginConv. This was designed to convert one or more login-name to another throughout the database.
It can be used for any type of conversion. You specify a maximum size for the fields to be checked, as well as a conversion list such as: Joe's Computers = Joseph's Computers If any field contains an exact match for the source field data, it will be merged back with the new name. This will ensure that no modify-date etc is triggered. The tool will warn for any merge-filters that may damage your data. https://www.rrr.se/cgi/tools/main#rrrLoginConv It will take some time to run, but will only "merge" those actual columns that need change.
