I also hated the idea of doing it that way, but I was a little concerned about having fields stacked on top of each other using the AL hide/show field action.
I may look into trying different views based on which function they are trying to perform. I've never really created different views on our forms, but from what I remember from the admin classes, it was not that difficult. When you say separate UI's, are you talking about just having different views of the form based on what the user wants to do?
