The alias you are looking for is going to be stored with the View, not the
form itself, I don't know the tables, but I know how to get at it via the
API.  The reason it's stored there is because each view of a form can have
its own alias.

held. 



Example:

Form Name: HPD:Help Desk

Alias: Incidents



I know about the .dat in the home directory, but aren't these held in a

database table someplace? Like I said, I thought it was arschema.

The "Web" alias name is stored in the arschema table in the objProp column.
Look for object property number 60018 and you should find the following for
your example:

60018\4\9\Incidents\
