Hey Joe et al...

        I haven't really read the whole thread here, but I do understand
the desire for a TRANSLATE feature.

        I've been staring at a lot of filter logs recently and I
remembered this snippet when I saw your post. Watch how the "Pager
Message Numeric" field grows:

        Checking NTE:NPC:ExecuteParsePagerNumericMsg_030_CallGuide (30)

           --> Passed -- perform actions

                0: Call Guide

        Checking NTE:NPC:ParsePagerNumeric_100 (100)

           --> Passed -- perform actions

                0: Set Fields

                      z1D_Integer02 (1000000114) = 0

                      z1D Integer01 (1000000077) = 15

                      z1D Char01 (1000000058) = INC000000000383

                1: Set Fields

                      Pager Message Numeric (1000001005) =

        Checking NTE:NPC:ParsePagerNumeric_101 (101)

           --> Passed -- perform actions

                0: Set Fields

                      z1D Integer01 (1000000077) = 0

                1: Set Fields

                      Pager Message Numeric (1000001005) = 0

                2: Set Fields

                      z1D_Integer02 (1000000114) = 1

                      z1D Integer01 (1000000077) = 15

                3: Goto Action

               Goto Execution Order: 101

        Checking NTE:NPC:ParsePagerNumeric_101 (101)

           --> Passed -- perform actions

                0: Set Fields

                      z1D Integer01 (1000000077) = 0

                1: Set Fields

                      Pager Message Numeric (1000001005) = 00

                2: Set Fields

                      z1D_Integer02 (1000000114) = 2

                      z1D Integer01 (1000000077) = 15

                3: Goto Action

               Goto Execution Order: 101

        Checking NTE:NPC:ParsePagerNumeric_101 (101)

           --> Passed -- perform actions

                0: Set Fields

                      z1D Integer01 (1000000077) = 0

                1: Set Fields

                      Pager Message Numeric (1000001005) = 000

                2: Set Fields

                      z1D_Integer02 (1000000114) = 3

                      z1D Integer01 (1000000077) = 15

                3: Goto Action

               Goto Execution Order: 101

        Checking NTE:NPC:ParsePagerNumeric_101 (101)

           --> Passed -- perform actions

                0: Set Fields

                      z1D Integer01 (1000000077) = 0

                1: Set Fields

                      Pager Message Numeric (1000001005) = 0000

                2: Set Fields

                      z1D_Integer02 (1000000114) = 4

                      z1D Integer01 (1000000077) = 15

                3: Goto Action

               Goto Execution Order: 101

        They're re-building the INCIDENT Number in preparing to send to
a numerical pager. It appears to be a 15-step iteration through an
Active Link Call Guide to do something similar to what you're trying to
accomplish...it might be worth a few minutes digging through their logic
to see if it helps...

        Just a thought,

        Gp

        Nice thought.. I will need to strip the extension part out first
though if I were to go that way.. Will need to toy over that idea and
see if I can come out with something better than that..

        I still wish Remedy did have a TRANSLATE equivalent! Would have
made life so much more easier..

        Cheers
