I'm not sure what the solution is, I contacted the dba, 5 min later she
responded back that I should be ok now and I was able to start the
service with no errors. So I don't know how to fix it in the future but
I know it's a database problem :)

Thanks for the reply

        Hello Dylan,

Looking at the error 823 description you have sent down, I think
this is not a Remedy Error. It is a database error being fired by SQL
Server.

You could try searching google by the text "SQL Server 21". This
is the text mentioned in the bracket after the error.

I am not a database expert so I dont know much of what happens
at the database end in the background.

But somewhere down, I am having a feeling that both error
numbers are related somewhere or the other to increasing the database
log size and data size (or probably table space, or whatever they call
it).

Please let me know once you get a solution for this.

        Thanks & Regards,

        Hi Abhijit,
I contacted the dba about it and I'm waiting to hear back from
her. I just hadn't seen the 823 error before and couldn't find anything
about it. Thanks for the info though :)

                Hello Dylan,

I found the following description for the error 552 in
the AR Error Messages guide from BMC. Hope it helps you out. But I could
not find any description about 823.
Failure during SQL operation to the database.

An SQL database error occurred during an operation
against the database. An associated error

message contains the full text of the error message from
the database.

The error is often a message about running out of space
in the database log or data area. You can

correct this by increasing the size of the data area or
by flushing or increasing the size of the log

                area.

                Thanks & Regards,

                Hi all,
Has anyone run into Error 823?
I was unable to do anything in the admin tool so I
restarted the service on our dev box. It didn't come back up so I
checked the error log and I see this about 20 times a second.

I haven't changed anything on the server program wise
and I don't think the dba did anything with the database.
