Here is what I had to do after applying patch 007 to a system built with
patch 006 and then customized (IM, PM, CM, SLM, RKM). I tested it on
development and documented all of the post-install fixes, then executed
the same processes on production. Maybe we will get lucky and they will
release a fix to patch 9002 before patch 008, but I'm not expecting
anything so helpful. Patch 007 was mostly fixes to Change Management,
which we have not even configured much less customized, so my issues
were all within Incident Management. The specifics below will not be
the same for you since they are our customizations, but it is an
example. The zinger is when you customized something by adding actions
or fields, and then so did they in the patch, and you have to make sure
their changes get added to your custom workflow; it's not enough to just
disable it. I used migrator to detect some of these kinds of changes in
the patch 007 workflow and forms.

in the Default User View of the form. Place them on the Customer tab.

Subject: ITSM Patch 7
**
Has anyone on the list upgraded an existing ITSM 7.0.x
installation to patch 7 for ITSM yet? If so, would you be willing to
share some of the trial and tribulations of having done so?
Thanks!
