Jay,
Make sure you have oracle path variables set up in aie start up
script.
For example:
[ ! "$AIE_ORACLE_LIB_DIR" ] &&
AIE_ORACLE_LIB_DIR=/rmdy-as1/ora01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/
