Yes - this is a natural usage of Kinetic Request. Do people on ARSList want a live open demo? WebEx? If so - let me know and I will schedule it.
(The below is all done through configuration -- not ARS development) Basically - you create a form. Then you create tasks that are tied to that form. Each task has a qualification that makes the task relevant or not on submit. In addition the tasks also can have dependencies (meaning task 1 needs to be done before task 2) Example Form to provision a server: (a very simple example) Do you need a server? Do you need a DNS name? Do you need backup software? etc... Tasks: Create DNS task (if 'Do you need a DNS name' == "Yes") Install backup software (if 'Do you need backup software' == "Yes") etc... Anyway -- this is EXACTLY what Kinetic Request does. Contact me if you want to know more. -John On Tue, Apr 29, 2008 at 10:17 AM, Jiri Pospisil < [EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ > Please Read The Disclaimer At The Bottom Of This Email > ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ > > Hello, > > I was wondering if anybody tried to implement what I would call "dynamic > fulfilment process" for service requests. > What I mean is that the fulfilment process (i.e. generated Incidents, Work > Orders etc.) may differ depending on what the user selects when raising the > service request. > For example, if the new starter form offers to create user account in > several different systems/applications, then a work order would be created > for each selected system and assigned to teams who look after those systems. > The process then should work similarly for leavers. > At the moment, I do not see any way to achieve this, but it does not mean > there is not a way. > > Thanks for your help and suggestions as always. > > Jiri Pospisil > > Remedy Administrator > LCH.Clearnet > > > ************************************************************************************************* > > This email is intended for the named recipient(s) only.
