I figured out how to export and import the SLAs. Remedy is able to identify the absolute Path Naming Convention.
I had to put /<installdir>/<servername>/slm/sla.arx and Remedy automatically created the sla.arx in the specified folder. This struck me when I saw the absolute naming convention in Server Information (/<installdir>/db/) Michael Ziniti DCO - ITAM San Francisco Direct: 925-974-5273 Cell: 516-729-8150 AIM: MikePZiniti ________________________________ From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Joe DeSouza Sent: Wednesday, June 04, 2008 10:00 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: SLM Export We have used the AIE one. In that experience we had to tweak the server names that get exported with the AIE export, but apart from that it works.. The user guide for AIE on that utility didn't have too much details either. In fact its almost towards the end of the guide and I had missed it when I breezed through the guide the first time. I bet the SLM export utility might be similar.. Off topic.. Matt, if you are reading this - nice pre-friday humor :-) Joe ----- Original Message ---- From: versicle <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, June 4, 2008 11:53:54 AM Subject: SLM Export All, Has anyone used the Export/Import feature of ITSM 7 for SLM. It's located in the Application Admin Console. I've looked at the User Guide for and SLM and it isn't very helpful for telling me what needs to go in the "Data File Path/Name" field. Any guidance or examples would be appreciated. Thanks.
