Hi Listers,

Just found a bit of a gotcha with the crystal web report viewer. It seems that
the alias as defined in your crystal report must match the table name as
defined within Remedy. Not doing so produces a "This field name is not known"
error when running the reports via the web. The same report works fine in the
user tool.

I created a couple of reports and changed the source form. This leaves the
alias with the same name as the original form (with spaces etc. replaced with
underscores). When I tried to run them via the web they failed to display. Once
I changed the alias in the report and saved them back to the Report form all
worked fine.

I'm running V7.1 of ARS and the matching mid tier and crystal web report
viewer. Not sure if this is technically a bug but it is a bit of an unexpected
dependency from my point of view.

Hope this info saves someone some time.

Rod Harris
