System Specs: Mid-tier 7.1 on Solaris with IBM http server + Websphere, AR Server 7.1 on Solaris (separate server). We have an issue which defies explanation right now. "Someone" (aka me) accidentally flushed the cache of a mid-tier server while a training class was going on. Basically no harm was done for most users - they were back up and running in no time. 3 users however get an error when trying to view an Incident in the IM Console - they get a message that says: "Caught exception:'mHaveVisualCharacteristics' is null or not an object" Using the same user ID's on a separate machine works just fine - so I think it's workstation specific. But clearing the IE cache + cookies does not help. Rebooting the AR Server and flushing the mid-tier doesn't help either. Once a workstation is hosed - we can't fix it.
