You could have alternatively written a merge filter to create a new guid that is set to that field.. that would have worked too..

All product categories are global. I am trying to import the data into PCT:ProductCompanyAssociation and PCT:Product Catalog. Imports won't work, even after selecting import preference - "Generate new ID for all records". Error - Record 1 : Required field (without a default) not specified -- ProductInstanceID (ARERR 307) Has anyone else been able to import product/operational categories?
