STG, Inc., is seeking a mid to senior level Remedy developer to assist with
a global Army implementation in southern Arizona.

STG manages maintenance and operation of an ongoing ITSM 7.1 implementation
involving Service Desk (Incident and Problem), Change Management, Asset
Management, SLM, CMDB, and a tbd Discovery process. The project will
include integrating Army organizations world-wide onto a single ITSM
instance (Solaris, Oracle 10G Grid, and AR Server 7.1 server groups with
MidTiers, load balancers, etc.)

Other organizations are responsible for architecture and implementation; STG
is responsible for reviewing and approving design documentation;
maintaining, upgrading, and patching ARS/ITSM; troubleshooting user issues
(UT, MidTier, and Citrix); and generally being ITSM experts and user
advocates for all aspects of ITSM/ARS. The environment is rigorous, and you
will be expected to trouble shoot issues to determine if the root cause is
user
error, ITSM/Remedy bug, or a misunderstanding of BMC's interpretation of
ITIL.

You must carry a pager once a month; historically, there is little on call
time, and we don't expect that to change.

Currently 3 of an anticipated 164 organizations use the tool; our partner
organizations are bringing on approx. 20 new staff to accelerate the project
progress.

Requirements are:

1) At least 5 years ARS experience
2) At least 1 year ITSM (any module)
3) Be able to obtain a Secret clearance
4) Move to southern Arizona (partial relocation paid/full relo
negotiable)
5) Must be willing to work with active ITIL organization team leads
(e.g., problem managers, change managers, config managers, etc.)
6 Must be a team player willing to play by the rules

Strongly recommended:

1) ITIL Foundations certified
2) Basic UNIX skills (Solaris)
3) The ability to write requirements documentation

If you want to thoroughly learn ITSM 7.1 and newer, and are willing to move,
this is your project. If you want to develop cool stuff all day without
submitting design docs, following rules, submitting RFC's, etc., you'll
probably want to pass.

We are located at the 5,000 ft. level at the foot of a 9,000 ft. mountain
range in southern Arizona. We have very different weather patterns than PHX
or Tucson (way better), and are an hour from Tucson.
