Ivan, Late response but here is what I think might work faster.. After installing the system on MS-SQL, you can try data transformation services of MS-SQL to copy data from Oracle to MS-SQL. I would assume that might be a lot quicker than Remedy imports. What you would need to do after that is manually update the nextid information for the tables that you perform a data copy to keep it consistent with the original system. Joe

Conceptually, it's pretty simple: 1: export all forms and data from existing Oracle database 2: reinstall ARS pointing to new, empty SQL Server database 3: import all forms and data from step 1 It appears I can use either native export/import or the Migrator tool. However, with the existing database being 26Gb, this is a bit cumbersome. Has anyone worked through this, and have words of advice on how to make steps 1 and 3 manageable? -ivan- -- Ivan Runions Information Technologies University of Calgary Calgary Alberta Canada (403) 220-4437 _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org Platinum Sponsor: www.rmsportal.com ARSlist: "Where the Answers Are"
