Gary,

You are quite correct. I have been communicating with "gok" off-list today,
and it is a language barrier.

His name is Gokul, and I suspect reading Axton's suggestions on how to ask
questions might have taken him a very long time.

Our collective bad. :-(

Well, I feel bad for you. Sorry everyone is so mean. I think there is a
language barrier that is making it difficult, and a cultural barrier.

If you are just trying to get the user's remedy id, it is $USER$. If you
are talking about their windows id or their IP Address, then that is not
so straight forward.

Could you please specify if you are needing the user's Remedy logon ID,
or their Windows Logon ID?

Could you please specify if you are asking for the IP Address as the Lan
ID?

I think that answering those two questions would help a lot in answering
your questions.

Thanks,

Gary Opela, Jr.
