Ahh, I hate this..

That is a user whom is connected through the mid-tier. Basically, remedy
cannot see their IP address because of network settings, or something, I
forget why.

They may not even be connecting from a different address. My arerror.log
is full of these, and it actually causes a few users a big headache.

The solution is to add a logout button to your application, and have
them use that to log out. But, if the have other remedy windows open,
then they may end up getting session errors if they log out in one
window, then try to use another window.

I've not yet found an eloquent solution, unfortunately.

If they wait for awhile, however long your session timeout value is, or
if you release their license through the admin tool, then I think they
will be able to log back in.

Thanks,

Gary Opela, Jr.

Subject: How to find the IP adress

dear listers,

I can see the following line in the arerror.log file

390620 : User is currently connected from another machine. (ARERR 9084)
   Client already connected - username:admin client-type:9
original-IP:dfbc76cd5c0a1e46:24e801:11c50c35489:-77b8
new-IP:dfbc76cd5c0a1e46:24e801:11c50c35489:-77b6 - Override is not
allowed.

Can anyone let me know how I can cnvert the original-IP and new-IP to a
human readable string?
Many thanks in advance
Serouche
