Hi, Why upgrade before you move?
I would do a clean AIX-install of the new version and then: - Import groups - Import defs (except the system forms) - Fix the permissions on yor system forms to match any customization you may have done - Use RRR|DefHideExpandBox to restore your layout after Submitter/Assigned/Modified are increased in size (https://www.rrr.se/cgi/tools/main#rrrDefHideExpandBox) - Move the rest of the data using the API. For example with RRR|Chive (https://www.rrr.se/cgi/rrrchive/main) - Test the new server - Do a final incremental (RRR|Chive) data transfer and switch your DNS to point on the new server This solution will let you run your servers parallell entil you are ready to switch. This will minimize downtime. The data copying tool RRR|Chive can do incremental transfers of data between your servers. This enables you to: - Change any data on the new server and get it restored afterwords - Do a last incremental transfer from the old production system and then change DNS-settings Best Regards - Misi, RRR AB, http://www.rrr.se Products from RRR Scandinavia: * RRR|License - Not enough Remedy licenses?
