Hi Ann I am sorry I was not involved in the installation of Helpdesk, Change etc, I just installed the SLM Module, yeah I copied all the files over to the second server after installing on the primary server. Did BMC provide you with the dump utility? If not, ask them to do so, this gets installed on the server and the next time the server goes down provides a detailed dump of the processes running on the ARServer at the moment of the crash. We had that problem a while back, where the server was crashing two three or more times a day! worked out it was some rogue work-flow causing it. One sure way to find out is to remove the files from the secondary server. If it is crashing repeatedly then doing this will not cause you any additional headaches, but might just eliminate the source of the problem. It will probably only take you around 10 to 15 minutes to check this out. Did you make any changes to the arconfig and armonitor files?
My environment is ARS 7.0.1 SLM 7.1 Solaris 5.10 Oracle 10.2 Let me know if I can help in any other way. thanks shafqat --- On Mon, 3/9/09, Ramey, Anne <[email protected]> wrote: > From: Ramey, Anne <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: SLM 7.1 & Server group > To: [email protected] > Date: Monday, March 9, 2009, 8:40 PM > I've studied the logs, Column's studied them, and > now BMC's had them for a week or so.
