Yes...it's a member of a deployable application...which means you need
roles defined...or you can choose to go to your applications link in the
admin tool, right click on the application listed, choose properties,
remove the forms from the application, accept the warning about
permissions, and then you should be able to add 'groups' instead of
'roles' to the form permissions

The left pane is blank all the way up. In the right pane is "Public"
and "Support Role".

The left pane does say above the panel "Application Owner" and the name
of the form. Does that mean that

Is actually is part of a deployable application? If so, now what?

Not if it's part of a deployable application...if you look in the
permissions window...directly above the words 'No Permission' does it
say 'Application Owner: <app here>'? or is it blank all the way up to
the tabs...if it's blank that means its not part of a deployable
application...if it has something there...that means it is, and you
would need to remove it from that app to assign group permissions....but
in either case you should have at a minimum 'Pubic' and 'Browser', and
any other 'dynamic' groups you have define in your server....have you
tried logging back in? restarting the server and logging back in?

Pretty sure that the forms are not part of any deployable
application.....

Is there a way to cause the default groups we now have to appear?

Is it possible that the def files contained forms that are part of a
deployable application? If so...does that deployable application have
any roles defined to map to groups on your server?...this is likely your
culprit.

We're on 7.1 and have done an import of several def files. But, when I
go into the admin tool and look at the form permissions, there are

None in the leftmost pane. What did we do wrong or what do we need to do
to be able to see permissions in this pane? Other forms that

Are installed by default have the permissions visible - seems like only
the defs we imported don't. We're puzzled..... ??? Thanks.
