Can you still access the WSDL from the developer's PC? When viewing a WSDL in
a web browser, you may be able to see the actual XML that comprises the WSDL
(similar to what you see if you go to the URL listed in Remedy web services).
If the web service was migrated correctly to the production web server, the
only difference you should see between the XML coming from his PC and the
production web server would be the URL to the service listed near the bottom of
the WSDL. If there are other differences, then the web service was not
migrated correctly and it not a correct copy. Now, if the XML files are
exactly the same - including the URL for calling the web service - then it was
still not migrated correctly and it pointing to the developer's PC instead of
the production web server. In that case, you would end up pointing Remedy to
the production web server to get the WSDL, and the WSDL would be telling Remedy
to go to the developer's PC to actually call the service. I don't know if that
last scenario would cause the problem you're seeing here, though, even if the
version on the developer's PC is no longer available.

So, what's the point of all that? If you can get to the WSDLs on both
machines, you can compare them and point out the differences to the developer -
or that they're exactly the same, including the URL. If the developer knows
what (s)he is doing, they should be able to figure out what's not working. If
they're the same, except for the URL, and the URL looks correct, then something
else is probably going on. At least, this might be a place to start...

Subject: OT: Consuming Web Service

**
All,

ARS 7.01 patch2
Solaris
Oracle 10g

We are working on a new integration with an external system. We will be
consuming a web service to pass data from Remedy to this external system. A
wsdl was developed for us to use and we were able to load and map everything
correctly. This wsdl was located on the developers local PC.

The wsdl has now been moved to a new location. We are able to map the input
okay but when trying to map the output we do not see anything to map to a
Remedy column. We told the developer about this and asked him to correct the
wsdl. He is now asking us what he needs to change. What do we tell him?

Thanks,
