Hi group,

So, we're trying to install ARS 7.5 on SUSE Linux 10 and have run into a hitch.
 I installed Java JDK 1.6 Update 13 (the 32-bit version) and used it to run the
installer. The installer starts up just fine until we get to the part where we
need to specify the JRE path. I've tried several different possibilities, but
I always get the message "Invalid JRE path". Unfortunately, there's no more
information, so I don't know how it's trying to determine if it's valid, what
errors it may have gotten in its testing, etc. Does anyone know what the
installer expects or how to determine why it thinks it's invalid?

The JDK is installed into /opt/java/jdk1.6.0_13. I've tried specifying the
following:

*         /opt/java

*         /opt/java/jdk1.6.0_13

*         /opt/java/jdk1.6.0_13/bin

*         /opt/java/jdk1.6.0_13/bin/java

I then took a look at the installer script and noticed that it had jre/bin/java
hardcoded in it, so I tried creating a symlink named jre to the jdk1.6.0_13
directory and tried all the same options above but with jre, and still no dice.
 The thing is, it's valid - if it weren't, the installer wouldn't have been
able to run in the first place!

Ideas?

Thanks,

Lyle
