That’s what I told them (Separate 32bit Perl and 7.1 API). They were hoping to
keep things clean with a single 64 bit Perl installation.

Subject: Re: API 7.5 Linux Request

Hi Fred,

The current release of ARSperl does not support Remdedy 7.5. The upcoming
release, however, will compile with it - and will also have support for new
stuff such as ARCreateImage calls and such.
The upcoming ARSperl version has the potential of compiling with the 64-bit
libraries, which will enable it to work with 64-bit compiled perls.

What you can do is use the current ARSperl 1.92 with the 7.1 32-bit libraries
and a 32-bit Perl on a 64 bit OS.
Another option would be to wait for the next ARSperl release which probably
wouldn't be too long, and compile that with the 7.5 64-bit Remedy API libs.

Regards,

One of our related applications connects to our Remedy server using
ARSPerl.  They are looking to move to a new 64bit Linux server.  We are
currently on ARS 7.1 so all I have is the 32bit libraries.  Can anyone
send me a tar of the Linux 7.5 API so they can try to add ARSPerl in 64
bit mode?

I would normally just pull the API out of the install, but they left the
API only option off the 7.5 installer.

Thanks
