I've seen issues like this when people simply type or copy and paste into the
assignment fields. Make sure that people are either selecting groups/people
using the menus or pressing the Enter key after typing or pasting into the
fields to make sure the system accepts them. The ITSM apps are also terrible
at data validation - you might consider adding your own active links that
validate that all the required data is there, and that it's actually valid,
before they can save the record. We did this with Change, and it took care of
a bunch of issues with people simply not doing things the way the system
expected.

Running ars 7.0.1 patch 2 on SQL 2005, ITSM

Currently having issues which only happens now and then, but causes issues.
Basically a Change Request is assigned to a group or individual, but it looks
like to that person it really is not assigned to there group or that person.

I found CHGImpGroup is null so an active link sets all the fields, which
basically sets them to null. I go in and manually reassign to that group and
everything is fine.

Wondering if anyone else ran into this and if there was a fix that is out
there, seems to be out of box issue. Before I go fixing on my own,

Thanks

Tim
