In all seriousness - yes, this is "in the works" and is on the list of
enhancements to Support Central planned for the future.

The background of why we need to use a Word document is because every product
group at BMC did not follow the same RFE process - but they all share the same
RFE tracking tool (which is, of course, an AR System application). Because
policy did not enable the shared application to be updated to enable the
questions to be asked in the application itself, the AR System group instituted
the process of requesting such information in a Word document which is then
attached to the RFE submission. The process eventually expanded to include the
Atrium and ITSM teams - and may spread further.

Internally, there is a move to bring all parts of BMC in line with the same RFE
process. You can see the beginnings of this in the newly published RFE process
document found here:

http://media.cms.bmc.com/documents/ESM_RFE_Process.pdf

As part of this movement, eventually, the front end will hopefully be modified
to accept the input currently found in the word document as part of the Issue
submission form.

Ah, I am sure they have something in the works that they will spring on us
sometime soon.

Another example of not drinking their own Kool-Aid. A simplistic service
request through SRM or use of Advanced Interaction Form for more granularity
would do it (there's an example SRD with enhancement request in the sample
data). Of course that's just the tool. You would actually need a defined and
usable process to back it up. I hear Rick is looking for some consulting work
so perhaps BMC could aquire his services to 'assist' in that effort ;-)

Why do we need to fill in a word document to submit an enhancement request?
Whats wrong with a web form?

Hey, it is 40 years ago they put a man on the moon!

So my enhancement request is to provide a up to date enhancement request
interface! This is just to bad!!!

Regards,
Jarl
