There is a long list of steps to obtain possible fixes detailed by BMC Support in KB article 20014080 on their support web. The #3 item on the first list was all I needed here for IE 7 and IE 8; it says it was resolved by AtriumCore 7.5.00 Patch002, but since that was the only version we installed, that is not true.
