if you can trigger and run a command line you can trigger an AIE exchange using aiexfer utiilty. Look on page 169 of the AIE 7.5 Users Guide for details.

Did anyone try to do something similar?I was thinking may be this can be acheived using WebServices or Transact SQL. I am sure there are other ways of doing this using ARS API for example.Perhaps send some token (assetid) from the remote applicacion using the Remedy WebService, this will be written to some form with a filter attached to it. The filter will then run the "Data Exchange" for that single record and update the local copy.Or
Perhaps (not sure if this would be tidy) create a trigger on the remote SQL server which fires on an attribute change which would update a temporary table/view form localy which I later use to update the main class using a filter.Any thought?

**Frex,I'm afraid not. AIE is a schedule based system and not trigger based. If you need real time your only best bet would be to create a DB link and work your way up from there.Joe

Subject: AIE 7.5
**Dear all,We are still on ITSM 7.0 and looking to upgrade at some stage. Someone asked me if version AIE 7.5 somehow can detect (In real time) any change to a specific attribute on a remote SQL Server table and (In real time of course) update the locally mapped attribute/class?This would be almost a miracle, but thought I will ask since I haven't seen 7.5 yet and don't have too much time to go through all the manuals etc. Many thanks in advance,Frex
