The disable-merge-filter should be just a bit you add to the merge options. It affects only that single merge call. That bit was added in rel 6.0 and is: AR_MERGE_NO_WORKFLOW_FIRED. You need not touch any filters for this. Unfortunately, this does NOT disable the audit "filter" which is an implied server filter and disassociation may be the only way to achieve this. Drop index etc has no equivalent in ARS and is indeed dangerous when a process that has done so has been terminated prematurely. Good luck in Vegas.
