Hi,
I am building a system to automate swapping of Fixed/Floating Application
licenses in ITSM.
I am testing this on ITSM7.0, and hope that the technique is the same in
all application versions.
Can anyone verify that this strategy is sound?
This is the filter to move from Floating to Fixed:
Push-Fields to "CTM:People Permission Groups" if
( 'Remedy Login ID' = $Remedy Login ID$) AND
( 'Permission Tag Name' = $Permission Tag Name$) AND
( 'Status' = "Enabled") AND ( 'viaTIL License Type' = "Floating" )
If No Requests Match: Error
If Any Requests Match: Modify All Matching"
- viaTIL License Type = "Floating"
- z1D Action = "START"
- z1D Previous Operation = "SET"
This is supposed to update a specific user with an active floating
licenses for the application-tag in question. It may match multiple rows,
for example if the users is both "Asset Config" and "Asset Admin".
The "START" and "SET" is Display-only-fields that triggers the
ITSM-workflow that updates the User-form.
I would appreciate any input!
