On a side note, do you have Development Cache Mode turned on on this server? If so, you'll probably want to turn it off, especially if this is a production server. Having dev cache mode turned on can cause the admin thread to get blocked for extended periods of time depending on what's going on on your server. Note that changing this setting will require you to restart the AR server for it to take effect.
