Duh! Thanks! I was so fixated on using AIE and relationship jobs that I
didn't even think about doing a custom form. I guess I just got
tunnel-vision after staring at the crap-data for so long. You know a
little more than a year ago that would have been the first thing that
came to mind. Who knew that ARSlist could be such a paradigm shifter J

We imported our relationship records from the SHR:Association into a
custom ARSystem form. Workflow was then triggered (by an escalation
during off hours) which in turn created the required relationship
records in the CMDB. Depending on what the source and destination class
types were, dictated the relationship classes we pushed into.

Subject: [ARSLIST] Import Asset Relationships

**

I am pulling asset records from a Remedy 5.5 system into a brand new
Remedy 7.6 system. I have imported most of the records and poked them
into their correct classes but now I need to build the asset-to-asset
relationships and I have hit a wall. All component records in the 5.5
system were converted (prior to my hire date) from to asset records,
that means that all the SHR:Association records are MAINASSET to
MAINASSET relationships.

Now, how do I import these records into the correct BMC_Dependency
relationships? I can't decipher which are HostedComponents etc so I was
just thinking of Dependency.

Has anyone done anything similar? I guess that it would be the same
process to import relationships from any pre-CMDB version into a CMDB
version of Remedy so any help would be greatly appreciated.
