Bing's a long-time Remedy person like we are, Shawn. He's entitled to his opinion, also like we are.
One correction - it was quite clear that their intent in buying Remedy was to kill it as a competitor. They trained the Remedy sales reps on the Peregrine products, but did not train the Peregrine sales people on the Remedy products. They simply saw no need. Working for a Remedy partner, I couldn't even get a Peregrine sales person to return my phone calls or those of our customers, but when word got out that I tried to help one of our customers directly, a Peregrine Sales VP called my boss immediately and *demanded *that I be fired for going around them. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed and he did not get his way, but I was also not allowed to tell him why I had done what I did. Seeing someone get mad at me because I was trying to do a job he wouldn't do didn't make me a happy person that day. And while Steve Gardner was probably the main driver of the bad stuff, Moores and Luddy were among those running Peregrine when that was going on. Trust them if you wish with whatever you wish. I choose not to.
