Kathy,

How did that printer get into CMDB? Was it a discovery tool? Manual
upload? Topology Discovery? Based on your answer, there are several
paths of complication that you must go through to achieve this..
especially if you want automation.

Subject: CMDB 2.1 Question

Hi,

I have an asset identified as a printer in the CMDB_PRINTER CLASS - and
the asset is not a printer, it is actually a CHASSIS. How do I move the
asset into the CHASSIS CLASS? I tried to select the Tier 1, Tier 2,
Tier 3 - and of course that is not going to work because it only gives
PRINTER CLASS values.

There must be a way to redefine this asset as a CHASSIS.
