Hello List,

We recently had a hard drive failure on our test server. We are in the
process of migrating to ARS 7.5 and ITSM 7.6, but our Production and
Testing server remains ITSM 6.0.

We are trying to rebuild this testing server, but we are running into
the following error when it tries to install CMDB 1.0 (part of ITSM
6.0):

An error (-5009 : 0x800700006 has occurred while running the setup.
Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other
applications.

Does anybody remember this error? Does anybody remember the fix?

I believe this is related to a malloc problem. I have tried various
memory allocations and can't get rid of it and install ITSM 6.0. ARS
7.0.1 installed without a problem.

We have:
Windows Server 2003 Service Park 2
Windows SQL Server 2000
Memory: 3.65GB Ram

I feel like I am in the movie "Back to the Future" with this error!
