We discovered that there is a bug with the installer for Mid-Tier 7.1 patch 8 and ServletExec 5.0 and Java 1.5 patch 15 combination. We were able to roll back the patch to an earlier version but it took us over 21 hours to recover our two mid-tier servers and many long hours with 3 different BMC Tech Support individuals.
