I just received a "BMC Software Customer Support Notice" that includes a
technical bulletin with this:

*Conversion to Apache Axis2 for BMC Atrium Core Web Services*
With BMC Atrium Core 7.6.00 patch 002, the BMC Atrium Core Web Services
infrastructure has replaced the TIBCO stack with Apache Axis2. This change
affects IIWS and products that consume Atrium web services

The TIBCO Runtime UDDI Server remains in place, but Apache Axis2 replaces
the TIBCO ActiveMatrix Services Grid. Apache Tomcat 6 hosts the Atrium Web
Application Archive and the Atrium Web Services Archive.

I installed the Atrium Core Web Service and it brought my poor little VM to
its knees so I uninstalled it (which wasn't pretty). The ActiveMatric
looked like a lot to learn and maintain (it was a whole new app that we were
not looking to support).

Does anybody know the differences between the TIBCO stack and Apache Axis2?
I am wondering what this change really means to us.

Thanks,
Jason
